Deputy forest school leader/assistant manager
We are looking for a (Deputy) Forest School Leader or Forest School leader in training (you must have already started your level 3 qualification and be due to finish soon) to be a key person, lead some Forest School sessions, facilitate child led and adult led activities, help set up for the day, carry out general day to day duties and offer leadership support to our kindergarten FS leader/setting manager.
Our ideal candidate will be resilient, high-energy and committed to providing an outstanding early years education in a largely outdoor environment. They will ideally be familiar with the EYFS statutory requirements and the policies and procedures (including risk assessments) which are crucial to safeguarding children and adults in a woodland environment and nursery setting.
We need: Deputy Forest School Leader/Assistant manager
Location: Brislington, Bristol
Hours: 4 days a week (approx. 32 hours a week) Mon, Tues, Weds and Thurs which includes approx 2.5 hours PPA/non contact time a week
Weeks: Our Kindergarten is open 38 weeks of the year and our holiday club for another 6 weeks of the school holidays. Holiday work is available on request.
Start: July/September (depending on availability)
Salary: Dependent on qualification and experience but between £24,000 - £26,000 pro rata. Salary also depends on how how weeks a year you want to work. We offer up to 42 weeks a year.
Job requirements: Experience of working with children aged 2-5 years old is desirable but not essential. Experience of working in an education setting with children and young people is essential. We want to hear from passionate, hard working, high energy individuals who have started their forest school journey and are keen to pursue a career in forest school and early years education.
