We've been busy planning for half term. Luckily, it falls during a busy week of celebrations, including Pancake Day, Valentines Day and Chinese New Year. Not that we are EVER stuck for things to do when we have Nightingale Valley Woods and St Anne's Woods on our doorstep. We have limited places remaining so book now to avoid disappointment.
Our next holiday club will take place during February Half Term Monday 12th February to Thursday 15th February. The club will run from East Winds Activity Centre. Here's last years activity programme for a taste of what children get up to. February 2018's theme is 'Survival and Bushcraft Skills'.
We have been putting together a Christmas/Winter special programme of activities for our upcoming holiday club. Children can expect this and more. We have a limited number of places available if you'd like to make a last minute booking. We'd also like to take the opportunity to wish you all a very happy holiday.
Our Thursday morning parent and child sessions are a great opportunity to get a feel for Out There Kindergarten (preschool) and nature based play, whether you are thinking of booking a place at the preschool in the future or whether you just want to come and hang out in the woods with us.
They take place in Nightingale Valley Woods, Brislington at the forest school site near the little stone bridge. Access is from Wick Road or St Anne's Terrace. For directions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Our sessions start at 10am and end at 11.30, after a story around the campfire. They'll be access to our Forest School resources as well as an art and craft activity. You'll also have the opportunity to join in one of our woodland workshops. The workshops have a different focus each week. The dates and sessions are as follows:
2nd November - Introduction to Forest School
9th November - Helicopter Stories
16th November - Fire lighting with Steels
23th November - Basic Woodwork
30th November - Drumming
7th December - Story telling and Imaginative Play
14th December - Christmassy Campfire Cooking
Sessions cost £5.00 per parent and child plus £1.00 for siblings. Refreshments are included.
Please book in advance using the Libacura online booking system
You will need to register your child's details but once you have an account with us you'll be able to book on to everything we offer, from stay and play, through to the Kindergarten to our holiday clubs.
We have a few remaining spaces at our next holiday club, which runs for 3 days over October Half Term. We also have a limited number of spaces for children in the early years (aged 3 up until the end of reception). We are now taking bookings through Libacura, an online booking system for after school and holiday clubs: https://libacura.co.uk/register/outthere
When booking, please ensure you book on to either the primary holiday club or the early years holiday club (or both), depending on the age of your child/children.
