After School Forest School Sessions

Spring Term 4 (Feb-March)

after school Forest school sessions

Children from all local schools are welcome. We collect from St Anne's Infants and Wicklea and our meeting point is 15.35 at the Wick Road entrance to Nightingale Valley Woods (in-between the doctors surgery and Wicklea Academy). You can also meet us at the Forest School site at 15.45.

We are now taking bookings for Spring Term 4 ( Monday 19th February - Thursday  22nd March).  You can book anything from one session a week to 5 sessions a week but you must make a block booking for the term.

Contact us by email if you wish to arrange a trial session.

After February half term, our main base will be East Winds Activity Centre (the scout hut on St Anne's Terrace) and not the church.  If you are collecting after 17.30, this is where you will collect from. If you wish to collect your child earlier, you can collect them from Nightingale Valley woods before 17.15.

Our sessions take place mostly in Nightingale Valley Woods but we also make use of St Anne's Woods, the scout hut garden, our allotment and the local park.

In extremely wet or windy weather, we take shelter in the scout hut where children can take part in woodwork, loose part play, arts and crafts and more.

We are open Monday - Friday until 17.45 during term time.  Children can be collected at the scout hut between 17.30 and 17.40, after which time they will be walked up to the church on Salisbury Road BS4 4EL to be collected up until 17.45.

Sessions are £9.50 and includes a snack.

We now manage all of our bookings through Libacura. Libacura are on an online booking system that specialise in after school and holiday clubs.

You will need to follow the link below and set up an account. You only have to do this once. Once your account is up and running, you will be able to book on to Out There clubs. When filling in the registration details, please do so in as much detail as possible. It is a requirement by law that we have all of this information.

Bookings should be made as soon as possible as places are limited.

Payment must be made in advance and can be made through Go cardless (the direct debit system), childcare vouchers or by BACS as before. If using Go Cardless, your account balance will automatically be updated once payment has been cleared. For all other account balances, we will clear them once we have seen the money come in to our account.

If you do wish to cancel a booking in advance (see policy below), we can cancel the session for you which will deduct it from your account. You will then be charged a % of the session fee or issued a full refund.

You may cancel up to two sessions per term, any other sessions will be charged at £9.50.

10 working days notice – 100% credit note will be issued.

5 working days – 50 % credit note

From March to October we try and get outside for as much as possible, weather permitting.

If there are high winds or if stormy weather is predicted, the sessions run indoors.

From the end of October to the end of February we take shelter from the dark nights and wintery weather inside the scout hut and run our winter activity programme.
